Birds Eye perspective of proposed 30th Street mixed housing development.

The 30th Street Subdivision was developed in partnership with the Yurok Tribe as an affordable housing community for tribal members closer to the economic center of the Arcata-Eureka area. The project envisioned a mix of housing types — single family homes, townhouses, and apartments — organized within a cohesive neighborhood setting in Arcata.

Key elements included a new pedestrian bridge over Janes Creek connecting the development to existing neighborhood walking paths, and a community building with laundry, a manager's office, and gathering space. The work focused on developing the site plan, housing prototypes, and cost estimating to support the tribe's grant application for funding.

The project subsequently moved to another firm for construction documents.

Site planning, housing prototype design, and cost estimating completed at K. Boodjeh Architects.
